Our School

We have approximately 170 students enrolled and bused to Kathyrn School from the surrounding communities of Irricana, Kathyrn, Keoma, Dalroy, Lyalta, and Delacour. Our K - 8 educational efforts are carried out by a dedicated group of professionals involving teachers, administrators, support staff, parent and community volunteers and school council members.

Grades 9 through 12 students in the Kathyrn attendance area attend Beiseker School.

Kathyrn School has a history of meeting the educational needs of our community for many years. Fourth generation members of many local families are now attending the school.

School Philosophy

All students can learn and therefore it is our mandate to foster the desire for personal success. Successful development of the child is the shared responsibility of home, school and community. Collectively as equal partners we endeavor to assist in creating a quality learning environment which stimulates a joy for learning by developing positive self esteem, risk taking, creative problem solving, self discipline and initiative. These skills will allow our students to enter the twenty-first century as responsible and respectful citizens who strive for excellence in their life long learning process.

Mission Statement

This mission of Kathyrn School is to provide an excellent educational program that emphasizes academic achievement, consistent effort, physical health, and the rewards of life-long learning.

Vision Statement

With continuous and consistent investment in learning all members of our community will achieve their personal best.
