A big shout out to our leadership students for organizing Valentine’s Day activities and a dance to celebrate Valentine’s Day. They also made Valentine cards to deliver to our senior centre penpals which was a big hit. Leadership students will be working on organizing a Talent Show in March, as well as some spirit days - stay tuned for that. We ended our week with a Volleyball game between students and staff. It was a great game, everyone came out to cheer, and the staff won two sets. We look forward to having a re-match - likely with a different activity soon.
We would like to wish everyone a wonderful break and we look forward to seeing students on the 26th.

Parent Teacher Conferences
On February 27th, the bookings will open for the March 6 & 7 Parent-Teacher conferences. If you wish to book an appointment with your child’s teacher, please log in through: Kathyrn School Conference Manager (schoolsoft.com). If you are new to our school, you will need to set up an account for your student(s). Please contact the office with any questions.
Registration 2024-2025

Grade 4/5 Basketball Game
The Gr 4-5’s had an opportunity to participate in a tournament on February 12th, and play their classmates. Shout out to team Green who won: North, Lydia, Avery, Makenzie and Teanna. A huge thank you to Coach Carla Shierman and Coach Chad Schenk for all their hard work preparing for this event.

Nut Aware
Please keep in mind we are a Nut Aware school. We kindly ask you to refrain from sending nuts (including Nutella) with your student to class, we do have significant allergies within the school.
Hot Lunch
Parent volunteers have set up hot lunch again for this year. Families can place orders by visiting the website: www.healthyhunger.ca. Our next hot lunch is February 29th, from Extreme Pita. Deadline to order is February 24th.
School Council
School Council will host their next meeting on March 12, 2024, at Kathyrn School or by Zoom. The Zoom link will be send closer to the date.
100 Days Smarter, Grade 3
The Gr 3 class practiced their multiplication by changing their names (for the day) to multiplication facts. They also celebrated the 100th day of school this week.
