Message from Administration

Dear Kodiak Families:

Wow, it is hard to believe that we have already arrived at December! We have been so fortunate with the mild weather.

The Leadership students have been busy collecting and counting food bank donations. At last count, we have nearly 600 items. We are grateful for the generosity from everyone that has donated thus far.

Our Junior A girls play their last set of games today in Crossfield at W.G. Murdoch school. We know they will represent Kathyrn School well. We are proud to say that last week, our girls won each of their games.

Our Bear Necessities focus for December is Kindness Counts under the pillar of Respectful. Mr. Stabler’s grade 4/5 class will be teaching us about ways we can show kindness. We look forward to seeing all of the shoutouts for kindness during morning announcements.

We hope that you have a great week!

CDA Corner

Message from CDA, Ms. Ludwig

With the holiday season approaching, have you overheard your children excitedly talking about what they were hoping to receive this holiday season…

While you want your child to enjoy the magic of the holidays, you may also want them to learn how to embrace the spirit of giving over the holidays.

So, this is what you can do:

You can sit down with your child and create a list of kind acts you could do together as a family. As you complete each act of kindness, you celebrate together by checking it off our list.

This week’s activity is the 12 Days of Kindness printable!

This fun family challenge is a great way for your child to learn how to spread joy and help reinforce the values of generosity and giving back.
