Principal Message 2023-2024
Principal’s Message 2025–2026
Welcome back to a brand-new school year at Kathyrn School! Whether you are a returning family who has long been part of our community, or you are joining us for the first time, we are so glad to have you with us.
As a small rural school, we are proud of the spirit and connection that define our community. Our size allows us to know one another well, to support each child personally, and to celebrate each success—big or small. For generations, families have entrusted us with their children’s education, and this sense of history and continuity strengthens the close-knit values that guide us.
At the heart of our learning, we are dedicated to helping students grow strong in numeracy and literacy, knowing these skills provide the foundation for lifelong confidence and learning. Alongside these core areas, we are committed to preparing students for their future by offering meaningful career education opportunities—encouraging curiosity, exploration, and goal setting that help students see the many pathways available to them.
We also embrace the richness of multiculturalism. At Kathyrn School, we are committed to learning and growing in our understanding of cultural diversity, including the histories, perspectives, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples.
The BEAR Necessities—Accountable, Respectful, and Safe—remain the guiding framework for how we learn, live, and work together each day. These values are more than words on a wall; they are the spirit of how we care for each other and the standard by which we support our students.
It is a true privilege to serve as your principal and to work alongside dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing students. Together, let’s make 2025–2026 a year of learning, belonging, and celebrating success at Kathyrn School.
Warmly,
Mrs. Kelly Huck
Principal Kathyrn School
